I am a home-schooled Senior and I need to take the GED since I won’t have a high school transcript upon graduating. I already know that my local high school is a GED testing center but I can’t seem to find any dates for the test. Is there any way to find out the dates of the actual test at my high school and possibly register for it online?

I’m a guy. I put up nice pictures, and good profile. I just can’t think of anything wrong with my profile. I just can’t get any dates from personals. Some people say that online dating is waste of time for non-white guys, because most girls are looking for white guys. Is online dating just waste of time by nature or am I doing something wrong?

Everyone knows eHarmony, Match, etc… but are there better ones? I don’t want to pay so much money and not necessarily looking for a long-term relationship?

My cousin found her husband on Match, but I’m looking for something less committed….if that makes sense? I’ve found some great dates through www.sexiestdatingsites.com but are there better ones?

Would online dating make me look desperate?

I’m 19 right now and going to be a college senior this fall. I’ve dated in college and it royally sucks. I can’t hold a relationship longer than 2 months…and the girls always claim “it’s not you, it’s me”. Then they run off partying and screwing around with other guys and will probably eventually become one of the “all men are dicks” kinda people 2 or 3 years from now.

Worst part is the girls my age are 1 or 2 years below me and the girls in my class year are either taken or not of interesting to me (usually the latter).

So over the summer, I want to try meeting girls that live around my hometown that I can relate with…and I’ve pretty much ruled out all girls from my high school or any past girlfriends. But would it be pathetic or seem desperate for me to use an online matchmaking site? Help, please. Thanks!

I started chatting with him on myspace. I wasn’t out looking for love or anything, it just sort of happened. I was new to the whole online world and just added him without thinking about it too much. It turned out we only lived about 2 mins. from each other (LOL) but we went to different schools. I was a senior and he was a junior in high school. We decided to meet and I was terrified because I never met anyone online before and, to my surprise, he was actually a great guy. We started hanging out, then dating, then dating seriously. We have now been together for a few years and go to the same college. The thing is though, as much as I care for him…I’m kind of ashamed of the fact we met online. I don’t think it is something I would try again and do prefer the traditonal dating method. Whenever people ask how we met, we usually say “through friends” to avoid scrutiny. Should I get over it? Be honest about how we met? Be proud? Be ashamed?
Firstly, I really and truly appreciate everyone’s answers. There is obviously a clear consensus across the board and I will take that to heart. You all did not judge and that’s what I appreciate most of all. There’s so many good answers I don’t think I can pick it. Thank you all for your time…=-)

He’s doing just fine! It’s something they have to grow out of. They don’t have any balance at first. If he hasn’t gotten steady after a few weeks he might require a trip to the vet but my puppy is healthy now thanks for asking!
The next time someone asks me, I’ll be honest. Maybe I’ll just share the story..I don’t know! lol
